Traditional Aspects by Sign
How conjunction, sextile, square, trine, and opposition work in Stelliums as governed sign-based configurations.
Stelliums currently uses the five traditional configurations by zodiacal sign relationship: conjunction, sextile, square, trine, and opposition. The relationship is determined by the signs occupied by two planets.
- Conjunction — the planets occupy the same sign and their testimonies are concentrated together.
- Sextile — the signs are two signs apart and can support exchange or cooperation.
- Square — the signs are three signs apart and indicate pressure, contest, action, or a need for resolution.
- Trine — the signs are four signs apart and traditionally support continuity or mutual reinforcement.
- Opposition — the signs face one another across the zodiac and emphasize polarity, confrontation, or negotiation.
Why Stelliums labels this sign-based
A sign-based configuration is not the same thing as claiming a specific degree orb, application, or separation. Stelliums does not silently add those policies.

Stelliums separates cited historical or scholarly material, computational rules, and interpretation. A published article does not silently change calculation logic; engine and rules changes remain independently versioned.
