Porphyry includes a planet making a phase of rising, setting, or station within seven days of birth among the testimony considered in a natal judgment. Stelliums implements that statement conservatively as a transparent proximity test for Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.
Begin with exact source chronologies
The test does not estimate an event from elongation alone. It reads the already calculated location-specific Swiss atmospheric appearance chronology and the exact signed-speed station chronology. Each event retains its own source lane, UTC time, Julian day, event type, and declared assumptions.
Apply one inclusive interval
- Measure the absolute time between birth and the nearest prior and next atmospheric appearance events.
- Measure the absolute time between birth and the nearest prior and next exact stations.
- Retain every event at or below seven days and label whether it occurs before or after birth.
- Mark an event exactly seven days away as the inclusive endpoint.
- If no event qualifies and both chronologies are complete, preserve outside-window. If either chronology is incomplete, preserve indeterminate rather than inventing evidence.
Governed worked example
Worked example: the five endpoint sequence
In the frozen report QA fixture, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn have modeled morning-first-visibility events three, four, five, six, and seven days after the chart. All five are inside the governed interval, and Saturn is explicitly labeled at the exact inclusive endpoint.
- Mercury: morning first visibility, 3.00 days after birth.
- Venus: morning first visibility, 4.00 days after birth.
- Mars: morning first visibility, 5.00 days after birth.
- Jupiter: morning first visibility, 6.00 days after birth.
- Saturn: morning first visibility, 7.00 days after birth, exact inclusive boundary.
- The complete station chronologies are checked separately and contribute no qualifying event in this fixture.
How to read the result
Treat a qualifying event as one named condition testimony. Return to sect, sign condition, place, rulership, motion, solar proximity, configurations, reception, and the chart topic under judgment. The seven-day test adds evidence to that audit; it does not replace it.
